Our Materials & Finishes
Which material should I choose (PETG, ASA, PC)?
We select the technical polymer best suited to the aesthetics of the object:
- PETG (Satin or Translucent): Our versatile standard. It offers a smooth and "sweet" finish for vases (12 opaque colors) or a diffusing effect for LEAH lamps (8 translucent shades).
- ASA Carbon (Deep Matte): The ultimate architectural finish. Enriched with carbon fibers, it eliminates printing layers for a velvety black, ultra-high-end appearance.
- Polycarbonate (Clarity): The "synthetic glass". Unbreakable and heat-resistant, it is preferred for high-end translucent pendant lights and vases.
Do you use environmentally friendly materials?
Yes. For some decorative collections like the Sneaker Planters , we use bioplastic (PLA) . Derived from corn starch, it allows for a highly precise matte and powdery finish, while also being bio-based.
Vases, Pots & Sealing
Are your designer vases truly waterproof?
Absolutely. Unlike raw 3D prints, our fresh flower vases undergo a hydrophobic capillary impregnation (Dichtol). This invisible treatment saturates the material throughout to ensure that no water will seep through, while also making cleaning easier.
Can I plant directly in the pots?
It depends on the collection:
- Designer Pots Collection (PETG): YES. They are designed for the health of your plants: integrated drainage holes + matching saucer included. The material is resistant to both water and soil.
- Sneaker Planter Collection: NO. These are decorative art objects. Use them as planters (for small succulents or artificial plants like the IKEA Fejka 6cm). Do not fill directly with soil.
How do I care for my items?
Hand wash only. A little warm soapy water and a soft cloth are all you need. Avoid the dishwasher: excessive heat could alter the precise geometry of your item or its surface finish.
Lighting: Safety & Installation
Does the lamp come with the electrical system?
We offer two concepts:
- LEAH Collection: YES. It's a "plug-and-play" solution. The lamp comes with a fabric cable, switch, and plug (CE compliant).
- Modern Machine collection lighting fixtures: NO. These pieces are "light sculptures". They are sold individually to allow you to choose the cable and ceiling rose color to match your decor.
Which light bulb is mandatory?
An LED bulb is absolutely necessary (usually E27 base).
Why? LEDs don't get hot. This is essential to guarantee the longevity of your polymer light fixture and for obvious safety reasons.

Manufacturing & Design
Where do your designs come from?
We are publishers. We collaborate with international designers (Modern Machine, 3D Mieks, etc.) through official commercial licenses. We transform their digital files into durable physical objects in our French workshop.
What are the deadlines?
Decofab3D operates on a "Zero Stock" model. Your order is made especially for you. Please allow 2 to 4 business days for manufacturing and hand-finishing before shipping.
📦 Shipping & Guarantees
What are the shipping costs?
We apply a single, transparent rate for France and Italy:
- €4.90 for any standard order (tracked delivery via UPS or DPD).
- FREE for all orders over €70.
Can I return my item if I change my mind?
Yes. We have extended the legal return period: you have 30 days after receipt to return your item if it is not suitable for your home. Returns are simply made to our French address (Châteauroux).
How are the packages protected?
Our packaging is 100% recyclable (cardboard and kraft paper) yet ultra-resistant. Each vase or light fixture is individually secured to withstand the shocks of transport. In the unlikely event of breakage, a simple photo is all it takes to obtain an immediate replacement.
